Playful Cities Design Guide

The Playful Cities Design Guide provides practical and inspiring ideas to help urban professionals and city authorities imagine and incorporate small-scale play elements for children, young people and adults into city design and planning.

The Playful Cities Design Guide addresses three issues:

  1. Where can we add play to our cities and what kinds of spatial elements can support playful experiences?
  2. How can we design games that include different age groups, abilities and identities?
  3. How can play help us develop a diverse range of skills, as well as connect us with our urban and natural environment?
