Proximity of Care Masterclass

Explore the four modules

The Proximity of Care Masterclass aims to equip urban professionals, designers, and decision-makers with the knowledge and tools necessary to create child- and family-friendly cities.

Designed as an interactive online learning experience, the masterclass was delivered in 2024, bringing together 150 participants from diverse organisations and cities around the world. To ensure ongoing access to these valuable insights, we are making the presentations from each module available for download.

The masterclass consists of four modules:

      1. Understand: Learn how to identify the specific needs of young children, caregivers, and pregnant women within urban contexts, while also gaining insights into how urban elements influence child development.

        1. Design: Learn how to make informed design decisions, tailoring interventions to suit the unique requirements of each context.

          1. Implement: Learn practical steps for applying a child-centered approach within urban projects, ensuring that interventions align with the identified needs.

            1. Influence: Learn strategies for influencing professionals and decision-makers to advocating for the need and benefits of early childhood interventions in urban contexts.
